Pitching
Clinic and Assessment
Sponsored by: National Strength
and Conditioning Association and Boise State Kinesiology Department
This
clinic will be a combination of presentations by an orthopaedic
surgeon, physical therapist, university professor, pitching mechanic instructor and
strength and conditioning specialist. Individual assessment of throwing mechanics, shoulder
and elbow stability, core and hip strength and flexibility will be
performed on each athlete. These assessments
are used to identify the athletes' weakness that may lead to potential
injuries related to throwing. Each athlete will be provided written information to help develop identified weaknesses in
these primary components of throwing.
