GOING
VERTICAL®
For Volleyball
How can you improve your vertical jump?
As an athlete, can you physically get into the
jumping position with correct posture with even and equal weight
distribution? Are you strong and stable enough to hold this position
for 30 seconds? Do you have strength on one leg when jumping and
landing? Most athletes have muscles that are shut off (glutes) and
overactive or tight muscles (hip flexors) that prevent the transference of
power to increase their vertical jump.
This session is emphasizing proper jumping and landing
techniques, strength training (turning on those glutes), improving hip
mobility and flexibility, core strengthening and stabilization. This functional training
is designed to improve basic athleticism to
increase your vertical jump.
